Chelsea star Eden Hazard has been linked with a move to Real Madrid all season and the appointment of Zinedine Zidane as Real Madrid boss on Monday has intensified speculations of a summer move.
According to The Telegraph, Real Madrid made contact with Chelsea about Hazard shortly before they announced Zinedine Zidane as their new head coach on Monday.
Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante, PSG star Neymar, Tottenham striker Harry Kane, Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen, and Liverpool forwards Sadio Mane and Mo Salah have also been linked with summer moves to Real Madrid.
Spanish publication Marca ran a poll on their website asking Real Madrid supporters a number of questions following Zidane’s return as head coach of the club.
Among the questions in the poll, fans of Real Madrid were asked to vote for the player they want to be a priority signing this summer.
Hazard received more than half of the votes in the poll, suggesting many Real Madrid fans want the club to sign him this summer.
54 percent of Real Madrid fans voted they want the club to make Hazard a priority signing this summer while only 15 percent voted for Real Madrid to sign PSG star Neymar.
Eight percent of Madrid fans voted for the club to sign Harry Kane while Paul Pogba and Mo Salah got two percent of the votes each. One percent of Madrid fans voted for the club to sign Mane.
