Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is considering making changes to the team for the Europa League last-16 tie against Dynamo Kiev at Stamford Bridge.
Sarri hinted at making the changes due to tiredness in the squad after a very tight fixture schedule that have seen the Blues play four games in eleven days.
Sarri said: “We have no injury. Of course we have some players tired because the last week was very hard for us.
“We need to consider the situation and to rest some players, I think.”
Sarri also suggested Chelsea’s struggles in the last 20 minutes against Fulham was down to fatigue.
“We changed six players, I think. Between Spurs and Fulham, six players I think,” Sarri added.
“We had very good rotation, I think. But probably we were tired. Some players physically and all the team mentally, I think.”
Chelsea would be guaranteed Champions League football for next season if we win the Europa League but Sarri insists he wants to lead Chelsea to a top four finish and win the Europa League too.
“I think we can gain the spot in the Champions League in the Premier League,” Sarri said.
“We are fighting. We are only two points away, at the moment, and have to play one match (in hand). But the Europa League is a very important competition, the second in Europe, an important trophy with a spot for the Champions League. So it’s a very important target for us.”
