30-year-old Chelsea star Willian has spoken of his desire to remain at Stamford Bridge because the club is very special to him.
Willian joined Chelsea from Anzhi Makhachkala for £30million in 2013 and has won four major trophies, including two League titles, in that time.
The Brazilian has attracted interest from Barcelona, Manchester United and PSG over the past 12 months and has just over one year left on his contract.
“I have one year left, but of course I want to play for this club,” Willian said, according to Standard Sport.
“I don’t know if they want me, but of course I want to continue here.
“This club is very special to me. I won titles here, I have the affection from the fans and from the people that work in the club. I feel comfortable to stay. I am happy when I play well and score goals. I can give a different light.”
This isn’t the first time this season Willian has insisted he is happy to remain at Chelsea beyond 2020.
“My future is here,” said Willian in January. “I have one-and-a-half years on my contract left, and I want to stay until it is finished.
“I don’t know if the club want me to sign a new contract, but my focus is here. I would like a new contract. If they want it, I want it.
“I have been here for five-and-a-half years, won a lot of titles. I am very happy.”
