Chelsea star Willian joined Chelsea in 2013 from Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala. The Brazilian had shone for Shakhtar Donetsk before moving to Anzhi for a short spell.

After a few months at Anzhi, Chelsea signed Willian. Howbeit, the Blues had to beat Tottenham to the signing of Willian.

Spurs were already close to signing Willian, before Chelsea hijacked the deal for the Brazilian much to the fury of Spurs’ fans.

Upon signing for Chelsea, Willian was shocked to find that the Chelsea fans had already made a special song for him, which mocked the failed attempt by Tottenham to sign him.

Willian spoke about that incident in an interview with Chelsea Magazine. He told Chelsea Magazine: “It made me laugh! It’s a funny song. It’s about the history, although it did not happen exactly like that! But the affection was good.

“I was very surprised when the fans made this song especially for me. It made me feel that they like me. But I also remember thinking I now had more pressure on me to do well on the pitch because I had just arrived and they already started to sing my name.

“So the pressure was there, but in a good way, and since my first game here I have always tried to do my best for this club, for the fans and for my team-mates as well.”

Willian has now spent six years at Chelsea, and he has admitted that it’s a dream come true for him.

“They feel very good about what I have achieved,” Willian tells the official Chelsea magazine. “It’s a dream come true for them as well.

“It is very special for my family when they come to London and see me here – for my dad, especially, because my mum is not here anymore. When I was young, he and my mum always used to help me, taking me to training every single day. It was school, then to training, and then come back home. So it was hard, but at the end of the day, it was a big blessing from God.”
