Chelsea star Eden Hazard looks set to become one of the highest-paid footballers in Europe this summer if he leaves for Real Madrid.

The 28-year-old Belgian captain has been long linked with a move to Real Madrid and with his contract running out in the summer of 2020, Chelsea are ready to cash in on the Belgian.

According to The Sun, Hazard has been offered a huge £400,000 a week after tax to join Real Madrid (which equates to more than £20million per year), double what he currently earns at Stamford Bridge.

The report claims Chelsea are willing to let Hazard leave for Real Madrid this summer for a transfer fee in the region of £100million.

Hazard could earn more than £15million in bonuses if he helps Real Madrid to domestic and European trophies while Real want to insert a £250million buyout clause in his contract.

Real Madrid are reportedly in talks to buy Hazard a luxury property and help with relocation costs.

Real Madrid last week agreed a new £1.2billion kit deal with Adidas that will net them £115million a season and the club and sportswear giants want Hazard as part of the advertising campaign for the new season.

Since joining Chelsea from Lille in 2012, Hazard has won two Premier League titles, one FA Cup, one League Cup and one Europa League.

He has been Chelsea’s key man this season, scoring 16 goals and assisting another 13 in 34 Premier League appearances. He was named on the six-man shortlist for the PFA Player of the Year award.

Hazard is reportedly committed to helping Chelsea finish in the top four this season and also help the club win the Europa League trophy.

Meanwhile, Hazard’s PFA Player of the Year nomination has taken his total nominations for te=he award to five which means he has more PFA Player of the Year nominations that Cristiano Ronaldo and Frank Lampard.

The only two players who have been shortlisted more often since 2000 are Thierry Henry and Steven Gerrard.
