There have been massive speculations about the future of Chelsea star Eden Hazard, with Real Madrid keen on making the 28-year-old the next Galactico.

Hazard again proved why he’s among the best players in the world and the best in the Premier League following his performance in the 2-0 win over West Ham.

Hazard scored a contender for the goal of the season as he singlehandedly took on the Hammers defence to score Chelsea’s first goal against West Ham on Monday night, and his second goal was as well impressive with a beautiful control and finish.

In the London derby at the Bridge on Monday night, West Ham fans taunted their Chelsea counterparts by singing, ‘Eden Hazard, he’s off to Madrid,’ however Hazard responded after the game by saying: ‘They are wrong.’

However, Chelsea loan signing and former Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain has revealed that Hazard hasn’t asked him about life in Madrid.

Speaking to ESPN, Higuain said: “What can I tell you? Those are things that involve the club executives and the desire of the player. When a player has a desire, it is difficult to change his mind.”

“He is one of the best [in the world],” Higuain added. “It is obvious that, when he is at this level, he gives you points, he gives you goals and the truth is that it is a great asset to have him with us.

“Here what matters is Eden’s decision and the decision of the board. I cannot do anything. He has not asked me [about life in Madrid] but if it’s what makes him happy, I wish him the best.

“I hope he can stay.”

Hazard will have just one year left on his contract at the end of the season and reports claim Real Madrid have already made arrangements to sign the Belgian this summer. Following Hazard’s man of the match performance against West Ham, Chelsea fans have now urged the club to make Hazard one of the highest paid players in the world and give him wages as high as £500,000-a-week.
