Pedro scored twice as Chelsea beat Slavia Prague 4-3 at Stamford Bridge on Thursday night to progress to the semifinals of the Europa League.
The Blues will face Eintracht Frankfurt in the semifinal, who impressively overturned a 4-2 first-leg deficit to progress past Benfica last night on away goals.
According to Pedro, Chelsea should enjoy the victory over Slavia Prague because it wasn’t an easy win.
“To pass to the semi-final was a big target for us. The result gives us confidence for the final games of the season,” Pedro said, according to Chelsea’s official website.
“Now we need to stay calm, enjoy this win because it wasn’t easy, and now to prepare well for Burnley because it’s another very important game for us.”
Pedro added: “For me it’s always good to score and help my team.
“For my first goal it was a great combination with Azpi and a good final finish. I should have had three but we got lucky because after I touched the ball it touched the defender and went in!
“It was a really tough game for us. They fight and press really high. This team was interesting for me, but the most important thing was our team-work.”
