Kepa: Was awesome tonight; made some good saves to keep a clean sheet and saved Chelsea from going down. 8/10
Azpilicueta: Had it tough tonight, but managed to stay in the game. 6/10
Rudiger: Dealt with a lot of aerial balls and had so much defensive work to do against a determined Slavia side. Had a good effort on goal in the second-half. 7/10
Christensen: Good game as he had to deal with a lot of pressure from a fiery Slavia side. Seemed calm on the ball, although had some nervy moments. 6.5/10
Alonso: Was having a poor game as he made too many mistakes with misplaced passes and poor positioning. But scored the crucial winner to hand his side the advantage heading into the second leg. 6/10
Jorginho: Was the best of Chelsea’s midfield three as the trio couldn’t cope with Slavia’s intensity. 6/10
Barkley: Had some good moments but was a generally disappointing performance. He can do better. Taken off for Ruben Loftus-Cheek. 5/10
Kovacic: Poor game, lots of misplaced passes and was rightly taken off in the second-half. 3/10
Pedro: Very poor game; looked like the worst we’ve ever seen of the Spaniard. Couldn’t beat his man, couldn’t make a correct pass and just kept making wrong decisions until he was taken off by a frustrated Sarri, with Eden Hazard his replacement. 3/10
Willian: Hit the woodwork in the first-half and had some good spells in the game. His final ball was lacking, but he put a good cross in for Alonso to score. 6/10
Giroud: Worked very hard but lacked service from the team. 5/10
