Eden Hazard showed once again why he’s rated as one of the best players in the world as he put in a five-star performance against West Ham to ensure a 2-0 win for Chelsea against the Hammers.
Hazard’s first goal in the win against West ham showed how special a player he is, as the Belgian picked up the ball midway in West Ham’s half, and superbly went past four players like they weren’t there before evading a last-ditch sliding challenge to fire low past Lukasz Fabianski.
Hazard’s future has been up in the media for many seasons now, but recent reports claim a £100m deal has been agreed with Real Madrid for the Chelsea superstar.
Reports claim the deal will see Hazard earn at least £350,000-a-week over the next six years with Real Madrid, making him among the best-paid players on the planet.
During the game against West Ham, the Hammers fans were singing that he’s off to Real Madrid in the summer.
But Hazard laughed it off as he told Sky Sports after the game: “They are wrong.
“I am focused with Chelsea till the end of the season. We still have top four and Europa League. There is still a lot to do and then we will see.”
Speaking about Hazard’s future at the end of the West Ham clash, Sarri insisted that £100m is too small for Hazard.
Sarri was asked if Chelsea could afford to lose Hazard in the summer, but Sarri admitted that a player like Hazard can’t be replaced.
Sarri said: “From a technical point of view, no, not at the moment. It’s impossible to find another Hazard. At the moment there isn’t another Hazard. His level is so high in all the world I think you can find two [other] players like Hazard.
“He told me he has to decide. I hope Hazard can stay here, otherwise we have to try something different.
“I am sure the club doesn’t want to sell him, but of course we all have to respect his decision. He is in his last season of contract. If he wants to have another experience we have to respect it. We will try of course in every way to convince him, but it’s not easy.”
