Juventus are currently without a manager after the departure of Max Allegri at the end of the season, and the Italian champions are keen to sign Sarri to become their manager next season.
At some point this season, there has been talks of a Maurizio Sarri sack, and those rumours became stronger as the season came close to an end.
However, Chelsea ended the season strongly by finishing third in the league, and the Blues ended up winning the Europa League.
It has been a good season for Sarri, and Chelsea defender David Luiz believes the Italian should be kept.
Asked whether the club should keep Sarri, Luiz replied: “Yes. He’s doing great. He did great during the season even with all the difficulties we had.
“It’s his first season at Chelsea, his first in English football. He is a great person, a great guy, a great manager and we finished in the best way for him because we finished winning a trophy in his way.
“Even after we conceded a goal at 3-1 we continued to play his philosophy and continued to try to score more goals. It was the best end of the season for him and he deserved that.
“It is for the club to decide, but I am so happy with him. Sometimes we are with the guys we work with more than our families. We make some connections. I think Maurizio did that with us. He has some connections with us, that’s why he loves this group.”
Speaking after the final, Sarri revealed that he was satisfied with his performance in his first season at the club and will speak to the club to know about his future.
“I need to talk to the club and make sure I know what I can do for Chelsea and what Chelsea can do for me,” Sarri said after the final.
“I love the Premier League and I’m lucky I’m at Chelsea but at the end of each season you have to sit down and talk.
“In my opinion, I deserve to stay at Chelsea but my opinion is not enough.”
