Real Madrid want Chelsea star Eden Hazard this summer and the Belgian has now set a deadline for the Spanish club to reach an agreement with Chelsea.
According to Belgian football expert Kristof Terreur, Hazard has set a deadline of June 4 for Real Madrid to reach an agreement with Chelsea, which is when he joins up with Belgium for international duty.
Belgium have Euro 2020 qualifiers against Kazakhstan on June 8 and Scotland on June 11, and Hazard wants his move sorted out by then.
Chelsea want £130million for Hazard but Real Madrid value the Belgium international at no more than €100million (£88million) due to the fact that he is entering the final 12 months of his contract at Stamford Bridge.
Terreur told Transfer Talk: “Real are wanting to make the final push after the Europa League final. I think the jigsaw pieces might fall into place in that short period after the Europa League final.
“That’s what the player’s hoping for as well. He wants everything done before he joins Belgium – they’re playing Kazakhstan and Scotland – that’s on the fourth of June.
“So there’s a bit of a deadline, but there’s some space to do the deal.”
Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho believes that the Europa League final against Arsenal on May 29th will be Hazard’s last for the club. Mourinho said: “It looks like it is the last match in blue for Eden.
“He is a player that was crucial for Chelsea’s success in this last generation and Eden also will try to be what he is the majority of the time – a fantastic player on the pitch.
“He will want to win and possibly go to Real Madrid with a last trophy for Chelsea.”
