Chelsea wonderkid Callum Hudson-Odoi is one of the most sought-after talents in Europe, with Bayern Munich interested in signing the 18 year old.
Hudson-Odoi has just one year left on his Chelsea contract, a situation which has left Chelsea in a very difficult situation ahead of contract talks between both parties this summer.
Hudson-Odoi submitted a transfer request in January as he tried to push for a move to Bayern Munich but Chelsea rejected all Bayern’s bids for the young winger.
According to Goal, Hudson-Odoi is ready to reject Bayern Munich’s advances and remain at Stamford Bridge if the club assures him he will be the player to replace Eden Hazard at Chelsea next season and also hand him the No.10 shirt.
Hazard looks likely to depart for Real Madrid this summer after he confirmed he has made his decision regarding his future.
According to Goal, Hudson-Odoi’s desire to want a move away from Chelsea has softened after Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri gave him four Premier League starts in a row before he suffered an Achilles tendon rupture against Burnley in April.
Meanwhile, Hudson-Odoi was named Chelsea’s Young Player of the Year and the 18 year old hinted during the awards ceremony that he will stay at Chelsea after claiming he enjoyed every moment he played for the Blues and hoped for more opportunities.
“I think the surgery went really well. Everything went perfectly as I wanted it to. I am really happy to win the award. I think the season went well and I feel that every time I have played I felt more confident and I enjoyed it,” Hudson-Odoi said.
“I enjoyed every moment of playing. I just need to keep working hard and hopefully get more opportunities.”
