Chelsea signed Christian Pulisic during the January transfer window, and the American will now link up with the Blues before the start of next season.
Chelsea beat competition to sign Pulisic for £58m, and the 20-year-old remained with Borussia Dortmund until the end of the season.
Pulisic said his goodbye in style to the Dortmund fans by scoring against Fortuna Dusseldorf, his fourth league goal of the season. The USA international was presented with yellow flowers on the Westfalenstadion pitch minutes before kick-off in the Bundesliga match with Fortuna Dusseldorf on Saturday afternoon as he said farewell to the Dortmund fans.
Ahead of Pulisic’s arrival to Stamford Bridge, Chelsea defender David Luiz has hailed the young attacker and believes he’ll be a good signing for the Blues.
“Christian is going to bring us a lot of talent,” David Luiz during Chelsea’s trip to America for the charity game against New England Revolution.
“We are waiting for him to help him to try to develop fast and to help us. He is a great player and I think he is going to have a great future for us.”
Pulisic has admitted he’s excited at the prospect of working with Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante.
“There’s so many good players here. I’m really excited to play with N’Golo Kante,” Pulisic told Chelsea’s official website.
“I’m excited to meet him, I love him as a player. The backline too, Luiz, Rudiger and those guys.
“It feels amazing I’m super excited. I can’t wait.”
