Chelsea will be away to Eintracht Frankfurt this evening for the first leg of the Europa League semifinal clash, and it is sure going to be a huge contest against the German side that has been formidable this season, especially on their home turf.

Chelsea have been in great form in the Europa League this season as the Blues have been the competition’s most dominant team so far, however Maurizio Sarri’s side had it tough against Slavia Prague in the quarterfinal stage, as the Czech Republic side gave Chelsea a scare at Stamford Bridge with the Blues winning the game 4-3 having been ahead 4-1.

Ahead of Thursday night’s Europa League clash, BetVictor ambassador Michael Owen has revealed that he’s expecting a 1-1 draw in Germany.

Owen said: “Chelsea have won 11 of their 12 Europa League games so far this season but I feel they will have to settle for a draw in Germany on Thursday against an Eintracht side who are unbeaten in their 10 previous home games in the Europa League.

“Blues boss Maurizio Sarri is unbeaten in his last 13 Europa League games and Chelsea have only lost one of their last 10 games against Bundesliga sides in all competition.

“Chelsea were good value for their point at Old Trafford on Sunday and I feel it will be honours even and all to play for back at Stamford Bridge next week.”

Frankfurt head coach Adi Hutter has revealed that he has plans to stop Eden Hazard as he rates as ‘one of the top three’ players in the world and is ready to ‘double up’ on the Belgian in the Europa League encounter.

“He is one of the best players in the world, who other big clubs want to have,” Hutter said.

“In duels he is great, very dynamic. You have to double up on him and you have to try to take him out of the game. ‘With his qualities he is one of the top three in the world.”
