Chelsea legend Didier Drogba could not contain his delight after watching his former side book their place in the Europa League final following a penalty shootout victory against Eintracht Frankfurt.
Immediately after the game, Drogba posted a video of his reaction and a message of support to the Blues on Instagram.
The Ivorian who converted our Champions League winning spot kick in Munich in May 2012, understands what it takes to win a game on shootout and hailed the team for the victory.
Drogba was super excited and could hardly contain himself as he posted a video of himself screaming ‘Vamos!’ as Eden Hazard fired in the Blues’ winner against Eintracht Frankfurt on another dramatic evening for the Blues.
Drogba shared the video and also spurred the team to go on and win the final against Arsenal in Baku as he captionen the video: “Well done My People @hazardeden_10 @chelseafc,” he wrote with accompanying emojis of blue hearts.
“Another final!!!on the road to Baku @europaleague Let’s win it NOW.”
For Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri, he has revealed that the Blues deserve to win this competition having come this far.
Sarri said: “We played a first final this season and we lost so now we want to win. Our group deserve to as three months ago we were in trouble.
“It is not easy to overcome difficulties here because the opposition teams are so strong, but we were able to do it so now we deserve to win a trophy.”
