Chelsea star Eden Hazard’s future has been in doubt for some time now, and there have been persistent rumours that the Belgium captain will leave for Real Madrid at the end of the season.
Hazard is yet to sign a new contract with Chelsea, and he has remained coy on his future but has revealed that he will make his desires at the end of the season.
Hazard is enjoying his best individual season at Chelsea this campaign and has scored and assisted the most in his career this campaign, and the Belgian laid two assists in Chelsea’s 3-0 win over Watford on Sunday.
A set of Chelsea fans caught up with Hazard while he was driving to his Surrey home and some supporters were heard shouting: “Stay at Chelsea bro”.
However, Hazard appeared to shake his head before letting out a wry smile and driving off.
Hazard’s two assists against Watford took him to 15 assists in the Premier League this season, more than any other player in the big five European Leagues.
Although Hazard failed to get on the scoresheet against Watford, he already has 16 Premier League goals to his name, which equals his best-ever return in the League.
Also, Chelsea Football Club on Sunday confirmed Kylian Hazard, the younger brother of Eden Hazard will leave the club permanently.
Kylian Hazard spent this season on loan at Cercle Brugge and Chelsea confirmed in a statement that the 23-year-old will make that move permanent in the summer.
A statement by Chelsea read: “Chelsea Football Club has agreed terms with Cercle Bruges for the permanent transfer of Kylian Hazard.
“The 23-year-old Belgian, younger brother of Blues forward Eden, joined us from Hungarian side Ujpest in the summer of 2017, making 11 appearances for our development squad last season, including a goalscoring debut against Swansea City.
“Hazard has spent the current campaign on loan in his homeland’s top flight with Cercle Bruges, scoring four goals in 21 appearances in all competitions, and will make the move permanent when the summer transfer window opens.
“We thank Kylian for his service to the club and wish him the best of luck for the next chapter of his career.”
