According to Daily Mirror, French champions Paris Saint-Germain will make N’Golo Kante their top priority this summer as they bid to build a side capable of dominating in European football.
The French club crashed out of Champions League in the second round stage and want to build a team capable of winning the Champions League by signing Kante.
Paris Saint-Germain were initially interested in Everton’s Idrissa Gueye but have now abandoned a move for the midfielder after multiple bids in the January transfer window were abandoned by Everton.
Kante, who has won two Premier League titles, the FA Cup and World Cup, is top of the PSG list after they shelved an interest in Everton’s Idrissa Gueye .
Paris Saint-Germain are hoping to tempt Kante to Paris by offering him more than the £290,000 he currently earns at Stamford Bridge.
With Eden Hazard set to leave for Real Madrid this summer, Chelsea can ill-afford to lose another key player in the squad and will reportedly reject any bid from PSG for Kante.
Despite not playing in his favoured holding position for Chelsea this season with Maurizio Sarri preferring Jorginho, Kante still had a good season for Chelsea and helped the team achieve Champions League qualification.
Kante is currently injured and is hoping to fit in time for the Europa League final on May 29.
