Two Chelsea players have been named as the worst finishers in the Premier League.
The Blues struggled to score goals this season under Maurizio Sarri despite dominating possession in majority of games played this season.
Sarri tried to correct Chelsea’s struggles in front of goal this season by signing Gonzalo Higuain on loan from Juventus in January but the Argentine striker failed to live up to expectation at Stamford Bridge.
According to stats on Daily Mail, Chelsea forwards Gonzalo Higuain and Pedro are among the worst finishers in the Premier League this season.
Higuain was named as the second worst finisher in the Premier League. The 32 year old scored just five goals from 46 shots, giving him a pitiful conversion rate of 10.9 per cent.
The worst finisher in the just concluded Premier League season is Fulham’s Aleksandar Mitrovic. He scored 11 goals despite taking 131 shots in the league, giving him a conversion rate of 8.4 per cent.
Pedro was named as the tenth worst finisher in the Premier League. The Spaniard scored 8 goals from 57 shots, giving him a shot conversion rate of 14 per cent.
No Chelsea player is among the top 10 finishers in the Premier League. This obviously explains our struggles in front of goal.
