1. Hazard loves the club
Hazard’s love for Chelsea is clearly seen in this message. The Belgian spent seven years at Chelsea, and he enjoyed every bit of it.
Hazard still remembers detail for detail his moments as a Chelsea player, and they are clearly signs that he’s in love with the club.
Inasmuch as Hazard wanted to leave Chelsea to have a better career in Spain, the Belgian always revealed that he loved the club and wouldn’t mind staying even if the deal didn’t pull through.
Time after time, Hazard has revealed his love for Chelsea, and he told beIN Sports at the end of the season: “The end is perfect. I think this is [the end]. I said after the World Cup that I wanted a new challenge and it didn’t happen so now it is between both clubs. I am still waiting. We will see. I love the fans and will always support Chelsea, if it is goodbye then thank you for these seven years.”
2. Respect the club
Chelsea fans refer to former Blue Thibaut Courtois as a snake because they perceive him as a disloyal player.
Courtois rubbed it in the face of Chelsea fans that he wanted to leave for Real Madrid, and it felt like he never respected the club or its fans after all the club did to make him a Chelsea player and even sold a legend to make him the first choice.
With Hazard, we see a player who respects the club. Hazard wanted to leave last season, but respected the club’s decision not to sell him. Hazard never pushed for an exit in an unprofessional way, neither did he hand in a transfer request.
In the seven years he spent at the club, Hazard gave it everything and was Chelsea’s best player for many seasons
In a show of his love, Hazard said: “Chelsea and especially Chelsea fans will always be special to me and next season I will look for your results first. I hope that we are drawn against each other in the Champions League next season and every season so we can meet again.”
3. He’s forever a Blue
Eden Hazard is indeed a Blue. After seven years at the club, Hazard has shown that his heart beats for Chelsea. Just as he’s loved by the Chelsea fans, the Belgian also loves the fans.
We might take a look back to 2016 when Chelsea needed to beat or draw against Tottenham to spoil their title ambitions.
Hazard understands the London rivalry as well as what games like these mean to the Chelsea fans and he put in more effort as Chelsea came from behind to draw the Battle of the Bridge.
Hazard’s message to Chelsea fans shows love for the fans and thinks that the games he played for Chelsea are successful ones.
“Even when we were not playing well, I tried to do my best and this has been thanks to your amazing support. That fighting spirit, desire and the refusal to ever give up is part of the culture here at Chelsea and it comes directly from you.
“When I think back over my special moments in a Chelsea shirt, there are so many, we are lucky to win many more games than we have lost.”
