Chelsea youngster Ethan Ampadu has hailed former Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas as a different class technically.
Ampadu admitted it was nice to make his Chelsea debut coming on for Fabregas.
Speaking to Chelsea’s official website, Ampadu said: Technically [Cesc Fabregas] was different class. He stood out with his long-range passing, but not just that; the pockets he would get in, and the space he would find with his brain was a joy to see every day.
“I believe when I made my debut against Nottingham Forest I came on for him too so that is a nice thing.”
Ampadu also described his Europa League experience with Chelsea.
He added: “European games have definitely got a little bit of a different atmosphere about them. For me it was a good experience and I enjoyed it. They can be hostile. When I played away against Vidi it was quite hostile, and the fans abroad make a whistling noise which can make it hard to hear your team-mates.”
