Premier League rivals Arsenal are interested in former Chelsea captain Gary Cahill, according to 90min.
The 33-year-old is available on a free transfer after leaving the Blues following a highly-successful eight-year spell at Stamford Bridge.
Cahill joined Chelsea from Bolton for £7million in January 2012 and he made 290 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions, winning two Premier League titles, two Europa League crowns, two FA Cups and the Champions League.
Cahill was rarely used by former Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri last season and he left the club this summer after his contract expired.
Arsenal aren’t the only Premier League club interested in Cahill; West Ham and Crystal Palace are also reportedly considering whether or not to offer the 33 year old a contract. Newly promoted Aston Villa – where the former Chelsea skipper played for four years during the early part of his career are also said to be interested.
Cahill reportedly prefers to remain in London but a chance to reunite with former teammate and Villa assistant manager John Terry may be enough to tempt him back up to the Midlands.
Cahill reportedly wants first team football and it is believed he is most-likely to get that at Villa Park.
