Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma has spent the last two seasons away from the club on loan as he has been unable to break into the Chelsea team since the long term injury he suffered against Manchester United in 2016.

Zouma has spent the last two seasons away on loan at Stoke City and Everton, and the France international was impressive for the Toffees last season under Marco Silva.

Chelsea are undecided on Zouma’s future as the club are yet to appoint a new manager, and Zouma’s future at the club is dependent on what the new manager wants.

Silva has made it clear that he wants Zouma, and reports suggest the Toffees were in talks to bring Zouma back before the August 8 deadline.

Following the rumours about a likely Zouma exit, Blues fans have taken to social media to tell the club that Zouma ought to be at Stamford Bridge next season.

“If Zouma goes to Everton I’m going to cry more than I did when Eden left,” one wrote.

“Zouma worth more than their entire club put together,” another said.

“They better stop it asap, we ain’t selling,” one added.

“Should keep Zouma, his young besides we are short on defenders with Rudiger injured, Zouma will be very useful,” another wrote.

According to Starsport, Zouma has told friends he’d love to return to Chelsea. With Gary Cahill departing from the club, Chelsea would need one more defender, and the Blues can’t sign a new defender this summer.

David Luiz, Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger are currently the three defenders in the club’s books, but Rudiger is currently out injured and won’t be available for the start of the new season.

Indeed Zouma will be a valuable addition to the club next season, and he’d be like a new signing.
