Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has hailed former Chelsea star Eden Hazard as a Chelsea legend and believes the Belgian international can’t be replaced.
Hazard ended his seven-year stay at Chelsea earlier this month when he completed a £130m move to Real Madrid.
The 28-year-old left Stamford Bridge having won several trophies with the Blues including two Premier League titles, two Europa League titles and an FA Cup title.
While insisting Hazard is irreplaceable at Stamford Bridge, Drogba believes someone else will come and step up.
“No one can replace Hazard, he is special,” Drogba said during an Instagram Live on his account on Saturday via Standard Sport. “But someone else will come, [and] step up.
“Eden Hazard is a legend at Chelsea. That’s life, that’s football.”
A fan also asked Drogba who he thinks is the best candidate for the vacant managerial role at Chelsea and Drogba backed his former teammate Frank Lampard.
When asked about the best person for the Chelsea job, Drogba said: “Well, the one who is in line to get the job, I think Frank Lampard.”
Meanwhile, Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger has vowed to come back stronger from his knee injury.
The defender missed the last five games of the season after picking up an injury in the 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.
