With Frank Lampard expected to be named as the new Chelsea boss soon, the club is set to remove Maurizio Sarri’s entire coaching team including Gianfranco Zola, according to Daily Mail.
The report claims none of the Italian coaches appointed by Sarri are likely to remain at the club, including his assistant coach Luca Gotti, first-team coach Marco Ianni, goalkeeper coach Massimo Nenci and scout Gianni Picchioni.
The futures of fitness coaches Paolo Bertelli, Davide Losi and Davide Ranzato are also uncertain.
Zola, who was Sarri’s assistant manager, is also expected to be released by the club after he reportedly turned down the club’s offer of an ambassadorial role.
Carlo Cudicini, who was invited onto the first-team staff when Antonio Conte arrived, three years ago, may return to his ambassadorial role at the club.
