According to The Sun, Chelsea have agreed a deal with highly-rated youngster Juan Familio-Castillo ahead of Frank Lampard’s appointment.
The report claims the 19 year old winger has put pen-to-paper on a four-year deal at Stamford Bridge, with his previous deal expiring this summer.
Familio-Castillo has risen through the ranks at Cobham winning the FA Youth Cup and featuring in back-to-back UEFA Youth League finals.
Familio-Castillo, who can play left-back or in midfield, had revealed a month ago that he would leave Chelsea when his contract expires this summer because he does not expect to break into the Chelsea first-team.
The Dutchman made a transfer U-turn and signed a new Chelsea contract due to the imminent arrival of Frank Lampard as Chelsea boss.
Familio-Castillo will be among the younger players Lampard will assess when he returns to the club as boss and Lamps will have the final say on him going out on loan or staying.
Meanwhile, Chelsea’s Technical And Performance Adviser Petr Cech has revealed a new manager will be announced before the players return for preseason later this week and he also admitted Chelsea legend Frank Lampard is one of the candidates being considered for the role.
