According to an earlier report in The Telegraph, Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi is close to signing a new contract with Chelsea. It is understood he will sign a five year deal to stay at Stamford Bridge.
Hudson-Odoi has posted a cryptic message on his Twitter account which has now triggered speculation that he’s about to sign a new contract at the club.
The young winger posted a picture of himself looking into the distance with the caption: “loading”.
Chelsea’s official Twitter handle then reposted the tweet from Hudson-Odoi which has now got fans assuming an announcement of a new contract is close.
Chelsea recently rejected an offer from Bayern Munich for the young winger as the club wants to keep him, especially with the exit of Eden Hazard to Real Madrid this summer.
Hudson-Odoi had pushed to leave in January due to lack of game time under Maurizio Sarri but the Italian started playing him more until he picked up an injury against Burnley which ended the season.
Hudson-Odoi is expected to have more game time under incoming boss Frank Lampard as Chelsea will be unable to sign new players this summer due to a transfer embargo.
It’s no surprise Bayern Munich had tried to sign the winger as he is very talented and as Chelsea fans, we are excited he’s about to sign a new contract.
