Jorginho’s agent has revealed the midfielder is open to joining Maurizio Sarri at Juventus, a year after following Sarri to London from Napoli.
While Jorginho’s agent says the midfielder is happy at Chelsea, he added that they would be waiting to find out if the interest was there and that anything could happen.
Sarri reportedly wants Jorginho and Emerson Palmieri at Juventus.
Jorginho scored on his Premier League debut against Huddersfield but was made a scapegoat for Chelsea’s struggles last season.
In his 37 league games for Chelsea Jorginho made 3,118 passes without an assist and scored two goals from 19 shots as he totalled seven shots on target in the league over the course of the season.
“Chelsea have a four-year contract with the lad. We’ll wait a few days to figure out whether there is any truth in this interest,” Jorginho’s agent Joao Santos told Tuttomercatoweb.
“His past at Napoli won’t be an issue, because Jorginho is a professional.
“Right now, Jorginho is happy at Chelsea.
“He found a great atmosphere and we can’t really say that he’d like to go elsewhere, but anything can happen on the transfer market.
“We’ll wait and see.”
Chelsea will be reluctant to let Jorginho join Sarri at Juventus as the club will be unable to sign a replacement for the midfielder due to the transfer embargo the club are facing.
Santos explained why Jorginho is willing to follow Sarri to Turin.
“Sarri already showed at Napoli and Chelsea that he is a top level coach,” he said.
“At a club like Juve, who have been so well organised for years, he can only improve and continue to win. I’ve been tracking Sarri for five years and his style of football is very entertaining.
“Juventus will change, because before they would win without being convincing. Now they’ll convince too.”
