Despite reports claiming Chelsea are having second thoughts about selling Ola Aina this summer and are looking to include him in the squad for next season instead, Torino President Urbano Cairo has announced that his club have signed the Nigerian international from Chelsea on a permanent basis for €10m.
Aina joined Torino on a season-long loan last summer, but the Serie A club included an option to sign him for €10m as part of the deal.
“We’ve redeemed Aina for €10m, as well as Cristian Ansaldi, and Koffi Djidji. Now Torino own all their players,” Torino president Cairo said at the Lega Serie A assembly held in Milan, according to Football Italia.
Despite Cairo’s claim of his club permanently signing Aina, Chelsea are yet to confirm the transfer.
Meanwhile, Cesc Fabregas and Willian have sent farewell messages to Eden Hazard after he completed his move to Real Madrid.
Willian wrote on Instagram: “Eden, my brother, it was an honor to play with you in those 6 years! I hope you have success in your new challenge!”
“Great moments on and off the pitch. It’s been a pleasure sharing all the good moments and specially the not so good ones that we overcame together over the last 5 years with the reward of winning it all. Enjoy your new challenge amigo!” Fabregas wrote on Twitter.
