Maurizio Sarri replacing Antonio Conte as Chelsea boss last season was the key reason why Jorginho rejected Manchester City for Chelsea.
Jorginho was an important player for Sarri at Napoli and Sarri urged Chelsea to sign the Italian midfielder last summer.
After a season at Stamford Bridge, Sarri has returned to Italy to become Juventus boss and reports claim Sarri wants Jorginho at Juventus.
Jorginho came under heavy criticism for failing to make a single assist and was targeted by opponents as a weakness in the Chelsea team.
Jorginho’s agent Joao Santos has revealed the midfielder is open to joining Sarri at Stamford Bridge.
Santos said: “Chelsea have a four-year contract with the lad. We’ll wait a few days to figure out whether there is any truth in this interest mentioned in the papers.
“His past at Napoli won’t be an issue, because Jorginho is a professional. Right now, Jorginho is happy at Chelsea. He found a great atmosphere and we can’t really say that he’d like to go elsewhere, but anything can happen on the transfer market. We’ll wait and see.”
Despite reports claiming Sarri wants Jorginho at Juventus and the midfielder’s agent hinting Jorginho is open to joining Sarri at Juventus, Chelsea reportedly have no interest in selling the Italian midfielder.
Chelsea will be unable to sign a replacement for Jorginho due to the transfer ban on the club.
Chelsea fans are divided on Jorginho and the Italian might be worried about his future at Chelsea now Sarri is gone.
Many Chelsea fans called for Sarri to drop Jorginho last season but Sarri backed the Italian international and continued to play him.
Former Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas even described Jorginho as Sarri’s son.
