West Brom are interested in signing young Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah on a season-long loan deal, according to Football Insider.
The report claims West Brom have stepped up plans to reinforce their squad under new manager Slaven Bilic and are keen to land Chalobah on a season-long loan after being impressed by the impact he made at Ipswich Town last campaign.
Chelsea are reportedly willing to listen to loan offers for the 6ft 3in rising star, who is an England youth international capped at multiple levels including the Under-20s.
Trevoh Chalobah, the younger brother of former Chelsea midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah, made 35 league starts among 44 appearances for Ipswich last season and scored twice.
The 19 year old defender is expected to be loaned out again for more experience in the coming campaign and West Brom are reportedly in pole position to sign him.
The report also claims West Brom will face competition for the young defender, who is yet to make a first team appearance for Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have threatened to recall Alvaro Morata from his loan spell at Atletico Madrid if they refuse to fork out £50million to sign him permanently.
