News broke out yesterday that German champions Bayern Munich submitted a fresh bid to sign Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi.
According to Daily Mirror, Chelsea rejected the new offer from the Bundesliga club for Hudson-Odoi but the amount of the bid wasn’t revealed.
Daily Mail has now revealed Chelsea turned down a fresh bid from Bayern Munich for Hudson-Odoi worth £22.4million. Yes you read that figure correctly, just £22.4million.
Chelsea turned down an offer of £35 million from Bayern Munich for Hudson-Odoi in January and I am wondering why the Bundesliga side think Chelsea will now sell the 18 year old for £22.4million especially after losing Eden Hazard to Real Madrid.
It’s been reported Bayern Munich have now turned their attention to Manchester City’s Leroy Sane. Please do just that; focus on Sane and forget Hudson-Odoi.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have offered Hudson-Odoi a new five year deal as the club wants him to stay and develop into a world class player under Frank Lampard.
Daily Telegraph claim Hudson-Odoi is close to signing a new contract with Chelsea and that’s definitely good news for every Chelsea fan.
Hudson-Odoi is currently injured after rupturing his achilles against Burnley in April but he is making a quicker than expected return.
Hudson-Odoi is due to head back to Barcelona, where he had his operation, in the next fortnight for another check-up with the renowned surgeon Ramon Cugat who carried out the procedure to repair his achilles.
