The biggest question that’s been posed to new Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is whether he can achieve success with Chelsea without former star player Eden Hazard.

Hazard has been the star of the Chelsea team for many years now, and even when the Blues played poorly, Hazard always found a way to bring success to the side.

At the end of last season, Hazard made the switch to Real Madrid, which has been his dream move.

Chelsea skipper Cesar Azpilicueta believes that the Blues can do without Hazard, insisting that top players have left the club in the past, and Chelsea were still successful.

“Since I came here, in every season we’ve had players leave – Lampard, John Terry, Didier Drogba, Ashley Cole, Petr Cech,” Azpilicueta said.

“At those moments, people couldn’t imagine a Chelsea side winning trophies without those quality players but we tried to keep the level high and every year we’ve had the chance to bring trophies to the Bridge.

“Eden is gone, we can only wish him the best but it was his choice and now we have to move on. We’re not going to win anything just thinking about the past. We have a great chance already in five weeks to win a European trophy again so we want to work hard and look forward to that.”

When Eden Hazard left Chelsea for Real Madrid, he said in his farewell speech that he had good memories as a Chelsea player and that he would always love the club.

In a recent photo with the Real Madrid squad, it was spotted that Hazard still has the Chelsea sticker on his phone.

Christian Pulisic is being tipped by many to have a good time with Chelsea and that he has the potential to replace Hazard.
