Eden Hazard left Chelsea for Real Madrid this summer after seven years at Stamford Bridge during which he became one of the best players in the world.

Replacing Hazard might be a big deal as Hazard blossomed into a world class player at Chelsea before leaving the club.

Many pundits are predicting Chelsea will struggle next season due to the absence of Hazard who has been Chelsea’s star for many seasons.

Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley doesn’t think Hazard is irreplaceable. Barkley has hailed Hazard’s influence at the club, but believes that Chelsea have the right players to replace him.

Barkley has listed himself and young players Callum Hudson-Odoi and Christian Pulisic as players who can replace Hazard, insisting that they need to take more responsibility.

Barkley was asked whether he was ready to take responsibility and he said: “Yes, of course.

“Last season when Eden wasn’t playing we still won games, we still created chances. We know he is an exceptional player but we have exceptional players in the squad.

“We have young ones that will step up and produce the goods as well. We have Callum [Hudson-Odoi] coming back from injury and we have signed Christian Pulisic – he is an exceptional talent. We have wingers who can create from tight positions, players who can shoot from distance and strikers – young and experienced – who are hungry for goals.”

A lot is expected from Pulisic next season, and Hazard believes that the 20-year-old can replace him.

Hazard identified the Chelsea player that could follow his footsteps and become one of the best players in the world.

“He can be one of the best in the future for sure,” Hazard told The Associated Press.

Hazard went on: “He can be (a star).

“Now he’s at one of the best clubs in the world,” he said.

“He’s a proper player. He can play football.”
