If there is one thing that’s certain, it is that Chelsea have missed the personality of Michy Batshuayi.
The Batsman as he loves to be called is usually very active on social media and has a way of exciting fans, either with his banters or interesting social media posts.
The latest target of his banter is Chelsea midfielder Danny Drinkwater. Drinkwater gave a funny facial expression as he couldn’t stay in a pool of ice water, and Batshuayi took to twitter to mock the 29-year-old who has water in his name.
Batshuayi captioned the photo: “Can’t be his real name.”
Batshuayi excelled on loan with Crystal Palace last season after struggling to find form with Valencia. The Blues are in need of a striker to bang in the goals, and he just might be the man to bring in the goals next season.
Already, new Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has revealed that he’s ready to give everyone a chance ahead of next season, meaning even Drinkwater who didn’t get an opportunity under Maurizio Sarri will have the opportunity to impress the new boss.
Lampard said: “Everybody will have the opportunity to show what they can do.
“I will be looking at their attitude, the way they play and train, in pre-season and onwards.
“I would be a fool to come here with ideas that I’m going to freeze anybody out, I want to get the best out of the squad.
“Everybody has an opportunity. I have no pre-conceived ideas about anybody. I already have a good knowledge of the squad, but I need to see them over the next month.”
