Bayern Munich have sealed the signing of Chelsea wonderkid Jamal Musiala, according to reports in Germany.
The Bundesliga champions have been very interested in signing Chelsea’s 18 year old winger Callum Hudson-Odoi, who is currently out with an Achilles injury, but have now managed to sign Musiala after Chelsea’s refusal to sell Hudson-Odoi.
The 16 year old Musiala is considered as one of the best players in his age category in Europe and Bayern Munich going for him shows just how highly rated the attacking midfielder is.
The imminent arrival of Frank Lampard as Chelsea boss wasn’t able to convince the youngster to stay at Stamford Bridge and has instead followed the trend of young players in England going abroad to get more playing time, with the likes of Jadon Sancho and Reiss Nelson also shining in the German top flight.
German publication Bild calls him a ‘Chelsea gem’ and a ‘mega-talent’, which shows the youngster is highly rated at Chelsea and Bayern Munich are very excited to have completed the signing.
Interestingly, Musiala’s is represented by Bradley Hudson-Odoi, the brother and agent of Callum Hudson-Odoi, according to Sporting Witness.
Musiala, who can also play as a striker, has signed a 5-year deal with the Bundesliga giants.
The Blues must start integrating our youngsters into the first team to avoid losing them to other clubs, especially now German clubs are keen on signing youngsters from England.
