Chelsea fans have been in celebration as legendary goalkeeper Petr Cech was spotted in the club’s pre-season training, and the experienced goalkeeper was dishing out instructions to the young Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Cech has been appointed as a technical and performance adviser at Stamford Bridge – and he was photographed out on the training pitches with Kepa.

The ex-goalkeeper, who played 494 times in 11 years at Chelsea and won 13 major trophies, took time to have a quick one-to-one chat with the club’s current No 1 keeper Arrizabalaga.

Chelsea fans were excited to see Cech hand out advise to Kepa.

Cech, who retired at the end of last campaign, will work hand in hand with Lampard to achieve success over the years.

Cech had revealed what prompted him to retire from his playing career and return back to Stamford Bridge.

Speaking on his decision to come back to Chelsea, Cech told the official Chelsea website: “I wanted to consider every possible option I had and I have to say I had so many options to keep playing because everybody was trying to persuade me to carry on playing,’ Cech explains. ‘So I had this on the side and I had offers from various places to continue in different roles but this offer I got from Chelsea is personal to me because I had a great history with this football club.

“It was the best offer for me to consider and in the end I feel really happy and privileged to have this opportunity to come back and especially in the role I have, which is a role with a lot of responsibility and this is something I am really looking forward to.”
