Chelsea youngster Charly Musonda has left Chelsea to join Vitesse Arnhem on loan for the entire 2019/20 season.
The 22-year-old joined the Dutch side on a temporary deal last season but injury restricted him to just one appearance, and he’ll now be looking to build his confidence and form this season on loan.
He has previously spent time on loan with Real Betis and Celtic, having joined Chelsea in 2015. He made his Blues debut in the 2017 Community Shield.
Musonda has been a highly rated player having joined the club from Anderlecht to be part of the Blues academy.
The young Belgian is yet to fulfil his potential and his career hasn’t been helped by injuries. Musonda had a decent loan spell with Real Betis, and there was a big call for the Belgian to be used by Antonio Conte in the 2017/18 season.
The tricky forward couldn’t find a spot in the Chelsea team, mainly playing in the League Cup and FA Cup, and was limited to just three appearances in the Premier League before heading to Celtic on loan for an initial 18-month deal.
After starting with a good hype at Celtic, it didn’t work out for Musonda and he had to leave the Scottish league and return back to Chelsea.
Hopefully, Musonda will get his career back on track with Vitesse.
