Swansea City boss Steve Cooper has admitted the Championship club are interested in Chelsea attacking midfielder Kasey Palmer but he admits nothing is confirmed yet.
Palmer is hoping to be a part of the first team at Chelsea this season after being part of the tour of Japan.
“There’s nothing to say [on the speculation] at the moment,” Cooper told WalesOnline. “Kasey’s out in Japan with Chelsea. He played some minutes today and it’s great for young players to play in big arenas that the big clubs go to now in pre-season.
“But until such time arrives that something’s done and dusted, we’ll continue to work with the players who are coming to Fairwood every day.
“There are lots of players who we’ve made interest known on, and I think for players who are with the Premier League clubs where they are going on these big tours, it’s difficult to make massive progress on it.
“They’re starting to come back to England now and maybe the players we are talking to, will be a little bit closer to getting done. We’re the same as every other club. In an ideal world, we want to get players in as soon as possible but it’s never that easy, and I’m learning that for the first time.
“But there’s a lot going on behind the scenes and on the pitch.”
