Chelsea right-back Davide Zappacosta is open to leaving Chelsea and returning to the Serie A, according to Goal.
The 27 year old has been used as a back-up to either Victor Moses or Cesar Azpilicueta under both Antonio Conte and Maurizio Sarri since joining Chelsea from Torino in the summer of 2017.
Despite his desire to leave the club, Chelsea are yet to receive an offer for the right-back but interest for the 27 year old is expected to increase next month.
Chelsea will only be allowed to register 17 foreign players for the Champions League this season and the Blues are reportedly willing to sell either Zappacosta, Kenedy or Tiemoue Bakayoko as we currently have 18 foreign players.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard won’t stop Zappacosta from leaving the club as he is happy to use Reece James as backup to Cesar Azpilicueta.
James is currently injured but he is expected back in training in the next two to three weeks.
Zappacosta has made 52 appearances for Chelsea since joining two years ago in a £23m ($28m) move from Torino, but he has only started in 65 per cent of those games.
