Eden Hazard left Chelsea for Real Madrid this summer after seven years at Stamford Bridge.

The Belgian has finally revealed why he made the move to the Spanish capital.

According to Hazard, fans expect Real Madrid to win the Champions League every year and that is why he joined the club, to win things.

Speaking to Jay Shetty for aLifeofMagicMoments YouTube channel, Hazard said: “When you play for Madrid you have to win every year.

“If in a year you do not win the Champions League, the fans are angry but it’s normal at a club like this. You need to win and that’s why I’m here.

“What can I contribute? I went to Chelsea seven years ago as a baby but I am more mature now – I have played more than 500 games, but I am 28 years old and I still feel young.

“La Liga is completely different from the Premier League but, with experience, you adapt quickly. I think that experience is the most important thing.”

Meanwhile, Hazard’s Real Madrid teammate Marcelo believes PSG player Neymar is a better player than Hazard.

“Eden’s a high-quality player,” Marcelo said in an interview with YouTube channel De Sola.

“He’s impressive. Like Ney, he has the quality to be in the top five [in the world]. You can’t compare them, but Neymar is better for me.

“Having Neymar at Real Madrid would be a huge pleasure, but I don’t make the decisions.

“Madrid always have to do everything to sign the best players in the world and his past at Barcelona wouldn’t be a problem.”
