Victor Moses had two very good seasons playing as a right wing-back under former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, and the Nigeria international was pivotal to Chelsea winning the league in Conte’s first season.
Moses couldn’t make Maurizio Sarri’s squad last season and had to leave on a two-year loan to Fenerbahce.
Moses impressed on loan last season but has been warned by Fenerbahce coach, Ersun Yanal to up his game in the coming 2020 season.
In a private conversation with Moses and Cape Verde star Garry Rodrigues, manager Yanal advised the two wingers to be close to the penalty area.
“With your performance, you can determine the fate of the season for us,” Yanal was quoted as saying by SuperFB.
“I will speak openly, so far form is not enough. Both of you have a very high capacity. I expect you to be more productive. I believe you will get better every day.”
Moses scored four goals from 14 games last season, but had revealed that he still has a heart for Chelsea.
“It’s tough, as Chelsea’s a very special place for me and I’ve always had a great relationship with the fans but it became very obvious that I was not in the manager’s plans,” Moses told The Guardian at the end of last season.
“I have achieved great things there but I just needed to play football and that’s why I got the move to Fenerbahce.”
