During his 13 years as a Chelsea player, Frank Lampard enjoyed so much success, winning 3 Premier League titles, a Champions League, an Europa League, 4 FA Cups, 2 League Cups and 2 FA Community Shield.
Lampard has revealed his two special moments as a Chelsea player.
Speaking to Chelsea’s official website, Lampard said: “As a player my special place was Stamford Bridge. I loved playing at home and feeling the support of the home crowd.
“My memories of the celebrations when we won the Premier League for the first time in 2005 are great. We came home to Stamford Bridge and we had about 250,000 fans for the bus tour in the streets around the stadium [pictured top]. It was very special and emotional.
“Then when we won the Champions League in 2012, even more so. Seemingly every Chelsea fan was in the street to support us and we celebrated all together.”
Lampard will be hoping to replicate the success he enjoyed as a Chelsea player after becoming Chelsea manager early this month.
Meanwhile, Lampard is reportedly ready to let Chelsea midfielders Danny Drinkwater and Tiemoue Bakayoko leave the club this summer after assessing his squad during the tour of Japan.
