According to Daily Mail, Chelsea starlet Daishawn Redan is closing in on a move to Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin.
The report claims Chelsea have agreed a deal with Hertha for Redan, with the German side set to pay a fee, believed to be in excess of £5m for the Dutch teenager.
The 18 year old striker joined the Chelsea academy from Ajax in July 2017 and has a near goal-a-game record for his country at youth level.
The highly rated striker had lots of admirers from clubs in Germany, Spain, Belgium, Holland and the Championship with Hertha Berlin winning the race to him after offering him the chance to accelerate his development with regular first-team football in one of Europe’s top leagues.
Meanwhile, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard believes Callum Hudson-Odoi can become an important player for the Blues.
Callum came through the Academy and can be a big player for us and England,” said Lampard.
“He knows he has a boss here who wants to work with him to improve.
“There are a few younger players now. Some have signed, some will sign in the next month or so.
“It is important we move forward on that and I know as a club we are doing our best to from top to bottom.
“Mason signing is great because of the impressive loans he has had. He is part of the first-team squad. Ruben has just signed which is great and I want Callum to sign and stay here.”
