Just weeks after helping Chelsea beat Arsenal 4-1 in the Europa League final, Eden Hazard left Chelsea for Real Madrid.
Hazard was an important player for Chelsea last season as he scored the most goals and provided the most assists. Hazard was involved in 31 goals last season (16 goals and 15 assists), the most by any player in the Premier League.
Despite his importance to Chelsea last season and Chelsea’s inability to sign a replacement due to the transfer ban, Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud insists he isn’t worried about Hazard’s Chelsea exit.
“I feel good at Chelsea. A new coach will arrive, the timers reset,” the French striker said, according L’Equipe. “We lost our best player, but I do not worry.
“There have been ups and downs this season with Chelsea. The main thing is to show your determination and your desire not to give up.”
Don’t worry Real Chelsea fans.
