Eden Hazard was the star of the Chelsea team and was regarded as the best player in the Premier League during his time at the club.
The Belgian departed Stamford Bridge for Real Madrid this summer, as Chelsea sold him for £88m, in a deal that could rise up to £150m.
Hazard has recently revealed that he wants to play for Real Madrid the same way he played for Chelsea. It’s not about him scoring goals or being the star of the team, but to help his side.
“I’m not going to change anything. That’s why I’m here,” Hazard said speaking after being announced as the new face of FIFA20.
However, things haven’t been too bright for Real Madrid since last season. Zinedine Zidane was appointed towards the end of last season, but he couldn’t save the team from a woeful campaign.
Despite some massive signings during the summer, the Los Blancos don’t seem to be ready for the new season and they were heavily defeated 7-3 by bitter rivals Atletico Madrid in a pre-season game in New Jersey.
Chelsea fans are urging Hazard to return to the club, but Zidane believes his side will bounce back.
Speaking to reporters after the game, Zidane said: “We will be motivated. I have no doubt about that. Our season is going to be good. I am convinced.
“Today we cannot be happy. For the rest I am convinced that I have a team that will compete and very well. That’s it. We have to go back and get some rest.
“It doesn’t worry me, but it hurts. When you lose … you don’t play to lose. But that’s it, we can’t look back. It’s a bad game and you have to think about what we’ve done.”
Madrid’s real problem NOW is Cortrois. Throw him in the ocean or the team will drown.
