Frank Lampard will get a chance to assess the 13 players that joined the training camp on Monday when the Blues face St Patrick’s later today.

Lampard gave a lot of youngsters game time in the 1-1 draw against Bohemians on Wednesday but he’s expected to play lots of first team players against St Patrick’s on Saturday.

Lampard used 22 players in the game against Bohemians and we expect him to start the St Patrick’s friendly with players who did not feature in the last friendly.

Kepa is expected to start in goal against St Patrick’s with Emerson, David Luiz, Andreas Christensen and Cesar Azpilicueta making up our back four.

N’Golo Kante and Jorginho should start in midfield while we expect Lampard to play attacking trio of Ross Barkley, Pedro and Mason Mount with Olivier Giroud playing up front.

Expect to see Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori feature in the second half against St Patrick’s.

Here’s the predicted lineup for the game against St Patrick’s:

Meanwhile, Lampard admitted the Blues need to boost their fitness after a draw with Bohemians.

“Fitness was our issue, we’ve been working hard on it, even this morning,” he told a press conference after the game.

“Fitness was always going to be an issue against a team that’s halfway through their season. We certainly pushed ourselves to the limit.

“The quicker we get there the better. It’s about individuals getting fit. Some of the young lads were really good. We want to get a level of fitness and intensity in their game.”
