Jorginho and former Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri worked together at Napoli for three years and Sarri insisted on signing the Italy international midfielder for £57 million ($86m) last summer when he was hired as Chelsea boss.
Sarri saw Jorginho as important in his style of play which resulted in several persons calling Jorginho Sarri’s son.
Sarri left Chelsea for Juventus at the end of last season but Jorginho is hoping to be a Chelsea player for a very long time.
Jorginho also insisted Sarri isn’t his friend but just his manager.
“He was my manager, he wasn’t my friend,” Jorginho said of Sarri. “We worked together for four years but now it is another time and another page. Another time in my life. I look forward to that now.
“I left him but I stayed here and I look to work for our team now, at Chelsea. I have a four-year contract. I am very happy in London and to be at Chelsea. I hope to be here for a long time.”
Meanwhile, former Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas revealed in April that he left Chelsea for Monaco in January because of Sarri’s son Jorginho.
Fabregas said: “I was at Chelsea and I could have renewed my contract and stayed there but a new coach came with a player that for him was like his son.”
