Chelsea legend Frank Lampard was confirmed as Maurizio Sarri’s replacement after the Italian left Chelsea for Juventus over the summer.
Lampard signed a three year deal with the club, having spent one season as Derby boss.
According to former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino, Lampard has a decision to make over four of the younger members of his Blues squad.
The players are Fikayo Tomori, Mason Mount, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Callum Hudson-Odoi.
“I’ll be interested in what Frank does with someone like Tomori, who he had at Derby, who was a Chelsea loanee to Derby last year,” Cascarino said on talkSPORT.
“If you asked most Derby fans, he was their best player last year.
“I think it will be interesting on Mason Mount, what he does with Mason Mount.
“He’s got Loftus-Cheek, he’s got Hudson-Odoi.
“So he’s got lots and lots of good players at his football club.”
Loftus-Cheek just signed a new five year contract that will keep him at the club until 2024 while Hudson-Odoi’s contract runs out in the summer of 2020.
Hudson-Odoi remains a key transfer target for German giants Bayern Munich.
