Chelsea legend Frank Lampard is back at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea manager following the departure of Maurizio Sarri to Juventus.
Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has admitted he hopes to learn plenty from working with our new boss Lampard in the forthcoming season.
Lampard scored 211 goals during his time at Chelsea as a player and he is Chelsea’s record goalscorer.
Loftus-Cheek has revealed his target for the new season is scoring as much goals from midfield like Lampard.
“I’m really looking forward to the new season with Frank as manager,” Loftus-Cheek told Chelsea’s official website.
“I watched him a lot in my youth team days and now it’s a great opportunity for me to learn and grow under him.
“He obviously played in midfield like me and scored a lot of goals from that position, which is something I want to do as well.”
Loftus-Cheek will miss the start of the season as he recovers from the Achilles injury he suffered in May.
