Chelsea and Atletico Madrid have today agreed terms for the permanent transfer of Alvaro Morata.
Morata, who left Chelsea for Atletico Madrid in January on an 18-month loan deal, will now join Atletico in a permanent switch after two years as a Chelsea player, in which he scored 24 times in 72 appearances.
Morata joined Chelsea from Real Madrid in the summer of 2017 for a then club record of £58 million. According to reports, Atletico Madrid will pay £50 million for the permanent transfer of Morata.
Morata scored on his Premier League debut, heading home after coming off the bench in our opening game of 2017/18 against Burnley.
He scored in his last game for Chelsea, the FA Cup third-round win over Nottingham Forest.
